I may never be the same after grad school. Exhibit A: I saw Zombieland the other day, then last night I dreamed that I was writing my thesis on “Changing Gender Roles in a Post-Zombie Apocalypse Survivalist State.” Seriously, that was the title. Who dreams like that?
Quote
"Somehow losing by this tiny margin is brutalizing. And because this is a vote on my dignity as a human being, it is hard not to take it personally or emotionally. But I also know that the history of civil rights movements has many steps backward as forward, and some of those reversals actually catalyze the convictions that lead to victories. A decade ago, the marriage issue was toxic. Now it divides evenly. Soon, it will win everywhere. I know for many younger gays and lesbians, this process can seem bewildering and hurtful. But I’m old enough now to be able to look back and see the hill we have climbed in such a short amount of time, and the minds and hearts we have changed. Including our own. Know hope."

Carved a face in the top for kicks.
Behold! My True Blood pumpkin! I messed up in a few places, but since I haven’t carved a pumpkin since I was a kid, I’ll forgive myself. :o)

I love this vinyl wall decoration. If my walls were actually plastered and painted, instead of being full of holes while we wait for a plasterer, I would have one of these like a shot.
That’s it—I’m going on a yarn diet until I can afford a couple of these. Just one would make up for my otherwise complete decorating fail. Check out the whole store here, it’s absolutely amazing.

Another Scrappy tutorial, learn how to make this fabulous cushion cover, with Cluck Cluck Sew.
I so want to make this! Especially since almost all every piece of fabric I own has a nature-inspired print.
